Bath & Body Works Haul

Hi lovelies!
I am currently in California right now. I came down here for a wedding and I officially started shopping. This is my first time going into bath & body works so it was really nice.
I only got 3 small candles because I'm not sure if I want to bring back big glass candles with me when I head back home on my flights. I might just have to since I did get a $10 off coupon. Hehe. & look at the cute hand sanitizer holder.

How I Keep My Skin Clear: My Night Time Skin Care Routine

Hi lovelies, I know I did a skin care post in the past, and you will see what I kept in my skincare routine. I only share my skin care routine if it actually works for me, and this routine definitely works on me. So starting off with my skin type and background; I have oily skin that is sensitive and acne prone.
1. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes
I only use these when I'm too tired to go through my whole skincare routine. They work well in removing my face makeup and I usually tear one sheet into four strips because one sheet is more than enough for my whole face. It doesn't completely remove waterproof eye makeup but it can remove my eye shadow and other non-waterproof eye makeup well. I like to hold it on my closed eyes for a minute, before gently wiping off my eye makeup. & it doesn't sting my eyes at all, so that's a plus for me.

2. Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover
This works well in removing all my eye makeup, including my waterproof eye makeup. It says it's oil free but I still feel an oily residue after I use this so I definitely wash my face right after using this. It doesn't get my eyes foggy or blurry which is a plus for me on an eye makeup remover. This is such an easy-to-find product, so I always pick this same eye makeup remover up when I need more.
Where to Purchase: Here
3. Ponds Deep Cleanser & Makeup Remover
I love using this to remove my face makeup before I use a face wash. I have the cucumber one. It doubles as a moisturizer and a makeup remover and I just love the feeling of massaging this all over my face. I finished my first bottle today and have repurchased one already. You can also use it as a moisturizing face mask; just leave it on your clean face for a couple of minutes and rinse it off when you're done. This is one thing that I will definitely be keeping in my skincare routine.
Where to Purchase: Here
4. Cure Natural Aqua Gel
In my opinion, this works better than a face scrub. It's a gel that you put on your skin. You leave it on your skin for a couple of seconds and then you start massaging your skin. After you massage all over your skin, you'll see little balls of your dead skin rubbing off. It's so gentle and it really works well in smoothing out my face, making my skin have a nice smooth base for makeup application.
Where to Purchase: Here
5. Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam
This is a foaming face wash that helps keep my face clear. I've repurchased this many times because it's my favorite face wash ever.
Where to Purchase: Here
6. Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion
This is a toner that I use after I wash my face. It'a another product that I've been repurchasing because it's a must have for me to keeping my skin clear.
Where to Purchase: Click Here
7. Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer
I use this only when I have a pimple or when I feel one forming. I use it as a spot treatment instead of an overall moisturizer because even though it's called a moisturizer, it can dry up your skin due to the benzoyl peroxide.
Where to Purchase: Here
8. Murad Time Release Retinol Concentrate
This is used to treat or repair deep wrinkles. I use this on my laugh lines in attempt to soften them so that my foundation can stop sinking into them. I've been using this for a few months now and it's not a miracle product because it didn't remove my laugh lines, but it did slightly soften them. It's not something I would repurchase because I think there's a better product out there in the market.
Where to Purchase: Here
9. Naruko Narcissus Total Defense Eye Essence Cream
I can't really tell if this does anything because I don't have eye wrinkles yet, but it may be preventing them. A little goes a long way; it's definitely taking me a while to finish this.

Top Makeup Picks: Part 1 - Blushes! / Makeup Travel Kit Edition

Hi lovelies! Have you ever had a hard time choosing which makeup products to take with you whenever you traveled? I'm going on a short trip next month and I just want to take the least amount of makeup that I can. I have attempted to start planning what makeup products to take with me, and I'm having such a hard time choosing! So, I decided to take it a step at a time and share my decision making process with you all. So, starting off with blushes, I am only going to take one blush with me and I can't choose from these blushes. What I already know is that I want to take a pink blush with me, so these are my top pink blushes that I'm choosing from.
As of right now, I'm leaning towards taking Milani's Pink Craze with me.
Which one would you suggest I take? Have you tried these blushes?

 Love, Chris

Essie Fiji

I've never really had much luck with Essie nail polishes.
The ones I have tend to be streaky and some are not opaque at all.
This Essie nail polish in Fiji applied streaky on my first application so I made my second coat thicker to try to avoid that.
I used 2 coats on my fingernails photographed above and I was surprised it came out opaque and not as sheer as some of their other light pink nail polishes.
To get the best look, I could've applied 3 coats but I just stopped after the 2nd coat.

October Favorites 2012 ♡

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin
I finally purchased this even though it's been raved about for the longest time. It gives great coverage and it helps keep my face matte for a longer period of time.
Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker Blush in Rose
I have a full review of this here. This blush is supposed to adjust in shade according to your skin's pH balance. It's a very pigmented pink blush that gives gorgeous color to the cheeks. It lasts throughout a whole working day which is great for a drugstore blush.
Loreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
This gives my skin a nice smooth base to work on. It allows my foundation to glide on and blend smoothly. It's a must to prevent my makeup from sticking to my dry patches.
Almay Clear Complexion Concealer + Treatment Gel
I haven't tried the gel part of this yet but I do like the concealer part. It covers really well and blends easily. It does smell weird so if you're sensitive to smells, maybe you should pass on this one.
Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells
This is a gorgeous neutral palette that is perfect for everyday use. It's definitely my go-to palette.
Maybelline Baby Lips in Grape Vine
A sheer Berry shade lip balm that's great for fall. If you're not willing to go all out on the dark lips look for fall, then you can try this sheer balm since it will give you a hint of color without going overboard.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush
A Burgundy shade that's great for that dark lip for Fall. Glides on easily and leaves a stain on your lips.

10 Favorite Drugstore Lip Products ♥

1. Carmex Lip Balm
Soothes my lips and keeps them moisturized. I love this lip balm. I also really love the Jack Black lip balm that I got from Eileen! But I wasn't sure if that's a drugstore lip product.
2. ChapStick
My first ever lip balm that has kept my lips from chapping in the cold weather.
3.E.L.F. Glossy Gloss in Wild Watermelon
A lovely opaque lip gloss that you don't need to wear over a lipstick. It's a steal with the price tag of $3.
4. Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Blossom
Moisturizing with a nice natural pink tint. It is 100% natural which is a definite plus.
5. Revlon Balm Stain in Crush
A burgundy shade that glides on easily onto the lips. I've been loving this for this Fall season.
6. Loreal Color Riche Lipstick in Sheer Linen
A neutral lip shade that is great for everyday wear. I love that it's not drying like other lip sticks tend to be. This line reminds me of the Revlon lip butters.
7. Revlon Lip Gloss in Peach Petal
A pretty peachy nude shade that's opaque and great to layer over other lip products.
8. Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch
A bright Barbie pink tinted lip balm that smells like Starburst candy. It has spf 20 which is a plus. I've been looking for this everywhere but it was always sold out, so when I finally found it, I was so happy.
9. Covergirl Smoothwear Lip liner in Wine
A dark vampy red that also makes for a great fall lip color. It glides on smoothly and I like using this as an all over lip color.
10. Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake
A baby pink creamy lipstick/balm.

Review: Loreal BB Cream / Magic Skin Beautifier

It has little beads which are supposed to adjust to your skin.
This is not like a typical bb cream that I'm used to.
It has a grainy texture from the beautifying beads.
It just looks like this white cream that dries matte after blended onto the skin.
It claims to prime, hide imperfections, give skin an even complexion, and hydrate.
I only count this as a primer; It makes my foundation stick onto my skin better.
As for all the other claims, I do not see any results that back up those claims.
It doesn't give any coverage and it doesn't feel hydrating.
Overall, I am pretty disappointed in this bb cream, but I will continue to use it as a primer because I don't want to waste it.

Physicians Formula's Happy Booster line claims to boost up your mood. They contain Euphoryl, which is a natural plant extract that is shown to promote a feeling of happiness by mimicing the effect of endorphins. They're also supposed to help protect the skin from environmental stress.
*On my nails: Revlon Colorstay in Cafe Pink
They're both Hypoallergenic, Paraben Free, Non-comedogenic, & Dermatologist approved.
The blush has 0.24 oz. of product with the price of $12
The bronzer has 0.4 oz. of product with the price of $14
Rose Blush, Light Bronzer
They also have a subtle scent of violet, which I don't find noticeable unless I really try to smell it.

Rose Blush, Light Bronzer
I'm so excited to use these. I love the shades of both and the fact that the bronzer is a nice light shade. I will definitely be doing a review on both in the future.

Have you tried the happy booster line yet? How do you like them?

Lip Swatch: Revlon Balm Stain in Honey

This shade was one of the most popular shades that other girls loved because of its natural and appealing shade. It's a my lips but better shade.

Lip Swatch on Revlon Balm Stain in Cherish, NOTW, & an Update

Hi everyone! If you've been trying to visit my blog within the past 2 weeks or so, you may have noticed that there was an error. I am in the process of changing my blog name into something I can really work with. Also, the 16th of this month marked the 2nd year anniversary of my blog and I was so upset when I couldn't post anything on that day. But anyways, I will be doing a separate post about my blog anniversary soon. ^_^

So, to end this post, here's my n.o.t.w. in Revlon Colorstay Cafe Pink

Review & Lip Swatch: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm

Charm is a light peachy nude shade

My Review
Charm is not as pigmented as the other Revlon Balm Stains; I did have to swipe it a few times to get this shade. It doesn't leave a noticeable stain on my lips throughout the day like the brighter shades do. This was actually the shade that I wanted the most. If you put it on dry lips, as you can see, it won't apply nicely, so make sure you exfoliate prior to using the balm stains. The Revlon Balm Stains have a hint of moisture and leave a nice glossy shine, so they're not drying like other lip stains tend to be. Also, they have a minty scent which I really like.

$8.99, give or take

Review & Lip Swatch: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart

Sweetheart is a bright hot pink; it really makes your lips pop. Not literally, of course.

My Review
It definitely lasted the whole day, leaving my lips, as marketed, stained. By the end of the night, after eating dinner, it did fade, but still had a noticeable stain, especially due to the brightness of this shade. It didn't dry out my lips like other stains tend to do.

$8.99, give or take
